2013-05-12
ORLANDO, FL, May 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) From the Newtown school shooting in Connecticut to the more recent Boston bombing, we are reminded that tragedy can strike at any time.

Krysti Griffith, a Central Florida resident has started a non-profit organization, Growth from Grief (GFG) as a way to help children and their families ease the pain of losing a loved one and support them as they navigate the grieving process.

Having lost her mother in a car accident when she was only 12 years old, Krysti knows all too well the pain that comes with losing a loved one
.
"Moving families forward" is Krysti's motto and it is the organization's goal to help children find joy again. Through group therapy sessions, respite trips, and family fun days, GFG provides a time for families to relax, reconnect and look toward the future together.

Growth From Grief is open to families all over the United States. The organization aims to help those faced with a painful loss put the broken pieces of their lives back together.

As an all-volunteer organization, GFG relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to help operate its programs. If you need assistance or want to help, please visit http://www.growthfromgrief.org
