RANCHO CORDOVA, CA, May 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) benefitsCONNECT , a leader in online benefits enrollment and administration, was selected as a finalist in the 2013 Healthiest Employers in Sacramento, sponsored by the Sacramento Business Journal on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The Healthiest Employers program is a privately-held technology and data research company based out of Indianapolis that focuses on corporate wellness through the collection of data and analysis. The program is the largest of its kind, with representation of over 5,000,000 employees worldwide, covering 40 major metropolitan markets and 35 of the Fortune 100 companies.

The Healthiest Employer awards program provides recognition to companies that are dedicated in creating a healthy working environment for their employees. To determine the winners, local companies were surveyed, analyzed, and scored using an online assessment tool to measure each company through six components. The components are: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.

"Wellness is a central element of our employee benefits program here at benefitsCONNECT ," said CEO, Troy R. Underwood. "Healthy employees are happy and productive employees, and providing a higher level of engagement and service to our customers and partners each and every day."

Employees participate in various wellness activities such as local charity bicycle rides, walks, and runs to increase teamwork and productivity.
