Tablet Experts at Meep Shed Light on Kids' Issues

A recent statement from Google CEO Larry Page unveils his thoughts on the future potential of tablet devices and mobile technology. Makers of the kid-friendly Android-based Meep! Tablet comment on how the market should meet children's needs.

2013-05-13
PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) According to Oregon Scientific, makers of the Meep! Tablet, its kid-friendly wireless device is quickly becoming a highly sought after product, both by children--who appreciate the device's possibilities--and parents who value its high degree of online safety and customization. As digital technology continues to play a major role in modern society, the company explains that it is important for industry leaders to fairly represent an often overlooked segment of the market--young children.

A recent article from TabTimes uncovers the thoughts of Google CEO Larry Page, who believes that tablets have a lot more potential to offer the market. He explains that as he leads the major tech company, he has high hopes for where Google is taking the tablet market. As Google anticipates its release and development of its Google Glass project--a wearable device--Page reveals what the company is focused on to advance user-friendly experiences. He states, "At Google we're really focused on building and creating great Android experiences within the strong ecosystem that we have. It's really great to see developers focused on and building on Android."

For the makers of the Meep! Tablet, the increased focus on Android technology is exciting. In a recent press statement the company explains, "As an Android-based tablet, the Meep! will offer continuously fresh possibilities for young users, especially those who make use of the device's access to Google Play features."

While the development of Google and Android is a critical part of the continued progress of the tablet market as a whole, Meep! highlights a comment from Page regarding kids' products. In the article, Page states, "If your kids spill their drink on their tablet the screen shouldn't die and when you drop your phone it shouldn't shatter. There is a real potential to invent new and better experiences, ones that are much faster and more intuitive." The makers of Meep! believe that these problems are ones that can be solved by its kid-friendly tablet.

In its press statement, the company concludes, "Tablets are no longer just for adults anymore, and in fact, are ideally suited for kids. Kids rapidly adapt to new technology, and the speed with which they do so is staggering. So while keeping their interest high we also need to provide more physical protection to avoid the normal child accidents that occur--drinks spilled, tablet dropped, etc. Meep! was designed to withstand these types of occurrences while providing an excellent tablet experience for kids."

ABOUT:

The MEEP! is an Android-based tablet designed to instill the advantages of touch-screen technology with child-friendly features. The tech company manufactures and markets the high quality tablets for children aged six to 11.
