Greater Raleigh Chamber Of Commerce's "Work In The Triangle" Initiative Launches "Triangle Tuesdays"

Triangle Talent Attraction Initiative Announces Weekly Twitter Campaign To Promote Local Job Opportunities And Bring Bright Minds To The Area

RALEIGH, NC, May 16, 2013

The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce (http://www.raleighchamber.org), in partnership with Wake County Economic Development (WCED) (http://www.raleigh-wake.org/home), the Chamber's Competitive EDGE4 program, and Work in the Triangle (http://www.workinthetriangle.com), will launch its #TriangleTuesdays initiative on Tuesday, May 14. Designed to connect job seekers and employers throughout the Triangle, every Tuesday Work in the Triangle will post 10 of the hottest job openings with Triangle companies on its web portal and promote these openings via its social media channels on Twitter @WorkTriangleNC, Facebook and Linkedin. The weekly promotion allows followers and subscribers to Work in the Triangle's RSS feed access to exclusive employment opportunities that may not be posted anywhere else.

The campaign will share job openings from businesses across a wide range of industries in the Triangle region, and will feature positions with both large and small employers. The Work in the Triangle initiative has already been working with a number of local employers to help them with their recruitment efforts including Citrix Sharefile, DB Global Technologies, Fidelity and Red Hat, among others that are expanding rapidly in the market. The campaign will use the hashtag #TriangleTuesdays to share the latest and greatest job openings in an effort to promote the growing number of employment opportunities throughout the Triangle, and continue Work in the Triangle's ongoing efforts to match the area's top talent with top employers.

In addition to following #TriangleTuesdays on Twitter, job seekers can subscribe to the Work in the Triangle RSS feed and receive updates with the most recent job opportunities. Work in the Triangle will also post all shared job positions on its website landing page at http://www.workinthetriangle.com/work/triangletuesdays.

Employers have the opportunity to partake in the fun by tweeting their job openings at @WorkTriangleNC or sharing on Work in the Triangle's LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Additionally, employers and businesses can send details about available positions to info@WorkintheTriangle.com. Each week, the Work in the Triangle team will select 10 job opportunities to highlight.

The #TriangleTuesdays campaign directly follows the one-year anniversary of the "Work in the Triangle, Smarter From Any Angle" campaign and further positions the initiative as the Triangle's go-to resource for area employment opportunities, actively engaged with local companies and recruiters to promote, and ultimately fill, open positions by attracting new talent. As the campaign has worked to raise awareness for the region and its numerous opportunities, the campaign's website portal and other digital communication channels have received high levels of engagement, reaching 12,000 unique website visitors, more than 22,500 total website visits, 1,500 YouTube video views, more than 1,700 new Twitter followers and 770 email subscribers. Fifty-six triangle professionals created profiles on the unique "Work in the Triangle: What's Your Angle" network, and the initiative has received 315 Facebook fans on its official account page.
