Curtin & Heefner Attorney Sean Sullivan Speaks at PA Bar Institute Continuing Legal Education Program

Bucks County Lawyer Presents CLE about Advanced Issues in Civil Practice

DOYLESTOWN, PA, November 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) Sean R. Sullivan, a business and appellate litigator with Bucks County law firm Curtin & Heefner LLP, served as a co-course planner and faculty member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's "Advanced Issues In Civil Practice: Judicial Review" continuing legal education (CLE) program. The event was held on Oct. 12 in Philadelphia.

Sullivan and his fellow presenters addressed dispositive motions, issue preservation, appellate waivers, post trial motions, judicial review of non-judicial arbitration and justiciability doctrines. Sullivan is slated to present this same seminar in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Nov. 2, 2010.

Sullivan maintains a significant appellate and commercial litigation practice at Curtin & Heefner LLP, representing both large and small business in corporate governance litigation, partnership disputes, insurance coverage, product liability, director and officer liability, construction litigation, toxic tort defense, and litigation involving homeowners' associations and appellate work. Prior to joining Curtin & Heefner LLP, he was associated with two large national law firms, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP.

Sullivan is also an active leader in a number of professional and civic organizations. He serves as an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Secretary of the Litigation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Vice President of the Brehon Law Society of Philadelphia lawyers. Sullivan also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Center City Opera Theater in Philadelphia.

A frequent lecturer and writer on legal issues, Sullivan regularly serves as a speaker and course planner for CLE programs. He was named a 2007 Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer and a Super Lawyers Rising Star by Thomson Reuters in 2007, 2008 and 2010, published annually in Philadelphia magazine.
