Reports of Health Benefits in Everyday Foods Wins the Attention of Rachelle Laronde

Personal chef Rachelle Laronde promotes the article outlining surprising health uses for commonly found foods.

2013-06-24
PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) According to a recent Huffington Post article highlighting the surprising health uses for everyday foods, "food in your fridge and pantry isn't living up to its full potential," a sentiment shared by private chef Rachelle Laronde. The report discusses the latest research, revealing everyday foods such as vinegar or yogurt are displaying positive results when used as home remedies for "health and beauty challenges ranging from sunburns to a bout of the blues."

Rachelle Laronde, the founder of Organic Eats based in Detroit, Michigan, earnestly comments on the research. "Nutrition experts are discovering amazing health benefits found in commonly used foods," she said. "As a private chef, it's my job to inspire clients to live healthier lifestyles through our unique creations. When Organic Eats serves a dinner party or small gathering, we consider a holistic approach, paying attention to what creates the perfect aroma and presentation. All of these elements factor into a phenomenal dining experience, and the fresh ingredients are both tasty and healthy."

The article continues to discuss the health uses for different foods including plain Greek yogurt. Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D. and author of "Food As Medicine" notes that when used as a mask, yogurt can keep skin looking fresh. "The live bacteria remove toxins, and the acidity balances the pH of skin," the doctor commented.

Rachelle Laronde weighs in on this perspective. "Healthy foods always surprise me," she said. "Our goal is to neatly package organic, fresh foods into convenient containers, storing them in clients' refrigerators. Encouraging them that certain foods contain added-health benefits is a bonus. Many of my clients are two-income families who want to eat healthy, home-cooked meals but they don't have the time. We aim to stock their fridge with healthy foods that serve a variety of health purposes."

The report also comments on the use of chamomile tea and how it can help the skin reduce inflammation. Rachelle Laronde also notes that "lemon zest can boost your mood," an idea supported by aromatherapy research that suggests the scent of lemon oil can "lift spirits." The personal chef continues on the subject. "Inhaling the aroma of a little lemon zest in ice tea can dramatically improve your mood," she said.

Research also shows that vinegar can soothe sunburns, a surprising health use found when soaking a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar. Rachelle Laronde remarks on the incredible discoveries of food science. "Culinary students are often encouraged to read the rich history, tradition and science behind foods to experiment with complementary ingredients. They become experts in what foods go well with another food. There is amazing health advantages found in everyday foods, even perks for the skin, stress-relievers or energy-boosters." Rachelle Laronde promotes healthier eating habits, pointing out a unique interest in accommodating individuals with specialized dietary needs.
