North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Names 2010-2011 Board Of Directors

Veterinarians From Across The State Selected To Guide Continued Success For State Organization

RALEIGH, NC, August 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) (http://www.ncvma.org) has announced the organization's 2010-2011 board of directors. The board of directors was elected during the NCVMA's Appalachian Mountain Veterinary Conference, which was held June 24-27 at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C. Board members will provide feedback and support to help guide related decisions of the NCVMA, as well as help with its strategic plans and future direction.

The new officers include:

- President: Suzanne Sewell, DVM, Crestview Veterinary Hospital, Inc. in Marion.

- President-Elect: Chessie Green, DVM, Falls Village Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh.

- Vice President: Dennis Wages, DVM, director of Teaching Animal Unit (TAU) at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.

- Secretary-Treasurer: Scotty Gibbs, DVM, Willowrun Veterinary Hospital in Smithfield.

- Immediate Past President: Phil McHugh, DVM, Park Veterinary Hospital in Durham.
