Families That Lost Loved Ones In Montgomery County Gas Explosion File Suit, Seek Justice Against Triangle B Propane

The Houston law firm of Abraham Watkins will host a press conference at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 28, to discuss the wrongful death and negligence lawsuit filed against Triangle B Corp. d/b/a Triangle B Propane related to the fatal gas explosion.

2014-02-28
HOUSTON, TX, February 28, 2014 (Press-News.org) Houston personal injury attorney Brant J. Stogner of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend has just filed a lawsuit against Triangle B Corp. d/b/a Triangle B Propane, on behalf of the families of two Montgomery County women who were killed and an infant who suffered serious, permanent injuries in a propane gas explosion last June.

Jennifer Mock and her sister-in-law, Lena Mock Knight, were in the Mock Knight home in Dobbin, Texas last June when a sudden gas explosion engulfed the house in fire. Jennifer Mock's then-8-month-old grandson was also in the home when the blast occurred.

All three suffered serious burn injuries in the propane-fueled explosion and were transported via life flight to nearby hospitals. Neither woman survived the second- and third-degree burns caused by the home explosion and succumbed to burn-related organ failure in the days following the blast. The 8-month-old boy suffered third-degree burns over half of his tiny body; he has and will continue to undergo intensive medical treatment because of the propane explosion.

An investigation by the Railroad Commission of Texas revealed that Triangle B Corp. had installed and serviced the gas lines at the Mock Knight household since 2008, including the day before the explosion.

According to Railroad Commission reports, the Triangle B technician, who was on site the day before the explosion, ignored signs of a possible gas leak that, if properly investigated, would have revealed corroded and compromised gas lines in the Mock Knight home. The Triangle B technician provided 100 gallons of propane to the home and failed to conduct a leak check of the home in violation of LP-gas Safety Rules. The fatal home explosion outside of Conroe would have been avoided had the gas company technician been properly trained and supervised by Triangle B. The lawsuit alleges negligence and gross negligence.

The Houston personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend will hold a press conference today, Friday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. to discuss the wrongful death and negligence lawsuit against Triangle B Propane. The press conference is open to all media; for questions about attending, please contact the firm at 713-587-9668.
