LateRooms.com - See Example Perform in Bournemouth

Fresh from chart success, UK rapper Example is set to arrive in Bournemouth later this year.

2010-08-28
BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, August 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) Music fans may be tempted to look up Bournemouth hotels for the forthcoming Example gig.

The up-and-coming British rapper, who scored a major hit with his single Kickstarts in June, is set to play the Bournemouth O2 Academy on Friday October 8th.

Formerly signed to a record label run by Mike Skinner of The Streets, Example recently managed to cross over into the mainstream with Won't Go Quietly, his second studio album.

The London-based musician - real name Elliot Gleave - enjoyed his first top ten single with the album's title track, which charted at number six in January.

Kickstarts, which features production from drum and bass star Sub Focus, marked Example's biggest success to date by reaching number three on the UK singles chart.

Describing his current style on his MySpace page as "dysfunctional electro pop", the rapper looks set to win even more fans as he tours venues around the UK and releases new single Last Ones Standing this autumn.

Tickets for his Bournemouth gig, which is due to get underway at 19:00 BST, are available online for GBP10 plus booking fee.

For more information on this event, visit the O2 Academy Bournemouth website or contact the venue on 0844 477 2000.

Enforcement Change Leads to Surge in Drug Recalls

2010-08-28
Drug recalls soared by 300 percent to a record number of 1742 in 2009. One drug company--now defunct--accounted for over 1000 of those recalls, but the increase is still 50% over 2008. Although the marked increase has led some to speculate about a decline in product safety, according to pharmaceutical injury lawyers at The Cochran Firm, the difference is more likely an attitude shift toward increased enforcement than a sudden change in product safety. Industry analysts cite a number of factors that led to the increase, including: - Drug repackaging - Rush to produce ...

2010-08-28
With the economy showing some signs of recovering, many companies have ended hiring freezes. While positive for the jobless, the influx of new workers into the corporate world often means an increase in on-the-job injuries - and increased workers' compensation costs for employers. Harry Shuford, chief economist for the National Council on Compensation Insurance, noted, "When the rate of hiring increases, we see some upward pressure on injury rates and frequency." Historically, higher injury rates occur among newer employees - often because they are more accident prone ...
