Set sail for a swashbuckling hen party with a stay in Simply Time in Cornwall's luxury cottages

Square rigged sailing ships, a natural movie set and rugged coastal views make a Simply Time in Cornwall hen weekend an unforgettable experience

2011-01-09
LONDON, ENGLAND, January 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Forget pole dancing lessons and nightclubs, make your hen party a much more grown up affair and indulge your inner romantic heroine with a break in the Georgian port of Charlestown. With chic comfortable interiors and views across the harbour and out to sea, Simply Time in Cornwall's luxury cottages are the perfect base for a hen weekend at any time of the year.

Charlestown itself doesn't disappoint. Frequently used as the set for period dramas and home to a fleet of square rigged ships, the port features regularly in movies and TV productions such as The Three Musketeers, Mansfield Park and Hornblower.

All the fun of a house party in a stunning coastal setting

The Simply Time in Cornwall cottages are located on the quayside of Charlestown harbour. Each cottage has been extensively renovated to provide laid back coastal living with all the comforts you need to relax. The company specialises in traditional properties in magnificent coastal locations upgraded to exacting standards with stylish yet liveable interiors.

As Quay Cottage and Boatwatch Cottage are next door to each other and Harbourside Cottage just a couple of doors away, the properties can be hired either individually or together for groups of friends or extended family.

The dining room at Harbourside Cottage sits 14 adults and is perfect for lazy breakfasts or a dinner party. Catering or even a chef to come and cook for you can be arranged if you want to take it easy. Unusually for Cornwall each cottage also has a garden for al fresco gatherings in the summer.

The perfect base to explore the whole county

Based smack in the middle of Cornwall, Charlestown is the perfect spot from which to explore the whole county.

Whether you'd like to hike along the South West Coast Path, retrace the steps of Daphne du Maurier's favourite characters or visit the Eden Project and Cornwall's famous gardens, Simply Time's owners will supply you with the local lowdown and a selection of ideas.

Their ethos is based on the principle that you shouldn't have to comprise on quality, style or location when it comes to self catering accommodation and have strived to combine the best of everything in their properties.

A comment in their guest book illustrates how well this ethos is translating into reality. "Beautiful cottage with a fabulous view and in a great location. Cottage itself is just like being at home - very comfortable with lots of added extras. You have thought of everything."
