2011-01-09
RALEIGH, NC, January 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Janice Cutler, owner of North Raleigh Florist (http://www.northraleighfloristinc.com) and chair of the Wake County Business Alliance, has announced that the program will host a week of job shadowing opportunities for students of Mt. Vernon Middle School from Monday, Jan. 10 through Friday, Jan. 15. During this time, students will spend a morning under the mentorship of professionals from various industries of their choosing. Participating organizations include Creech Import Repair, Bland Landscaping, N.C. State University's Department of Biological Sciences and Clean Design. The week of job shadowing is part of the program's annual series of events organized by the Alliance, which was preceded by mock interviews and a career fair earlier this year.

The Wake County Business Alliance is a collaborative partnership between business leaders throughout Wake County and the educators at local middle and high schools. The career and life expertise of these business leaders provides students with the relevancy between education and future careers. Through career-related events, businesses can help prepare students to be future employees of Wake County.
