"Back to School" Plastic Surgery Season About to Begin

With kids heading back to school, parents are finding that their schedules are freeing up and many are making more time for their cosmetic goals.

"As a father myself, I understand how busy summers can get for parents," states Dr. Eric Mariotti. "Between watching the kids and working, it can be pretty hard to find time for yourself in the summer months. Early fall is when a lot of people start thinking about looking good - particularly for upcoming holiday events."

"I would say that, while I still see many women for breast enhancements such as a breast augmentation or breast reduction, body and facial surgery is very popular this time of year. For patients in the Walnut Creek area, abdominoplasty in particular may be a good procedure to have during the early fall season. This procedure, also known as a tummy tuck, tones and tightens the stomach area and is a popular option for moms after childbirth or for people who have lost a significant amount of weight. Dr. Mariotti also performs a "mini tummy tuck" for people who are primarily concerned with loose tissue below their belly buttons.
