GMEX Announced New Board of Directors

GENEVA, a new Board of Directors of the Geneva Mercantile Exchange - GMEX (swissgmex.com) has been constituted after the completion of the three year tenure of the previous board.

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, September 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) The new board held its first and elected David Souquet as the chairman. Mr Souquet is the CEO of the Geneva Business Council and also chaired the previous board since March 2009. The new Board includes shareholder representatives as well as independent directors. The independent directors are Jerome Alnier, Michel Ferrier, John Devore, Aizaz Sarfraz and William Joost.  GMEX is Geneva's commodities and futures exchange. It is also the first and only demutualised exchange in Switzerland and has a 100% institutional shareholding. It is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Switzerland. GMEX is operational since May 2007 and is now Switerland's second largest exchange, in terms of the value traded. GMEX currently lists futures contracts in Gold, Crude Oil, Silver, Platinum, Gas and Heating Oil and plans to add several more commodity and financial futures contracts during 2010.
