Tricoci University of Beauty Culture "Cuts" Into Indiana

Illinois' Premiere Beauty School Acquires Creative Hair Styling Academy

2011-02-05
CHICAGO, IL, February 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) After establishing itself as ChicagolandâEUR s top beauty school, Tricoci University of Beauty Culture (TUBC) recently expanded beyond IllinoisâEUR state borders by acquiring Creative Hair Styling Academy (Creative) in Highland, Ind.

âEURœCreative Hair Styling Academy has a wonderful reputation for developing very high quality graduates,âEUR said Mario Tricoci, founder of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture. âEURœMy salons have hired many of CreativeâEUR s graduates over the years, and they thrived due to their experiences at the school.âEUR

Located 20 miles outside of Chicago, Creative Hair Styling Academy has been a cornerstone in the Highland community for more than 40 years. Creative, under the long-term leadership of Debbie Marias, has established a strong reputation in the industry by offering comprehensive cosmetology and esthetics programs.

âEURœIn addition to owning the school for 17 years, I was also a graduate of Creative, so selling was a difficult decision to make,âEUR said Marias, who will continue to run the campus and also provide executive capacity for TUBC. âEURœBut due to the similarities in our approach, with the emphasis on developing true professionals, I knew that the combination of Creative and TUBC would lead to an even better education for our students.âEUR

Creative Hair Styling Academy will be integrated into the Tricoci University system and will eventually transition to using the TUBC curriculum and brand. TUBC develops the most âEURœsalon-readyâEUR beauty school graduates by using the industryâEUR s latest teaching techniques and a âEURœfoundationalâEUR approach that builds on prior learning.

âEURœWe are thrilled to combine forces with Debbie and Creative. In addition to building a significant presence in Indiana, we plan to expand the Tricoci University brand in several states within the next few years,âEUR said Brian Weed, CEO of TUBC. âEURœThe acquisition of Creative is an important step in the growth of the Tricoci University brand.âEUR

The news of interstate expansion comes on the heels of TUBC opening its newest Chicago location at 6458 N. Sheridan Road near the Loyola Red Line âEUR˜LâEUR station. With the addition of the Creative Hair Styling Academy, Tricoci University now offers eight campuses throughout Illinois and northern Indiana.
