Sims Recycling Solutions Receives Responsible Recycling (R2) Certification at its Nashville Facility

Sims Recycling Solutions' Nashville facility has officially received their Responsible Recycling (R2) Certification.

NASHVILLE, TN, February 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Nashville facility is the second facility of Sims Recycling Solutions, the world's largest electronics recycler, to successfully achieve Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recyclers (R2) certification. This new standard supported by major electronic OEM's, the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), public interest groups, the US EPA, and US state and local governments, is a stringent set of requirements for electronics recyclers. The standard includes requirements for environmental, worker health and safety, and security practices.

"This registration reaffirms Sims Recycling Solutions' commitment to the proper recycling and disposal of electronic waste and to leading the industry in electronics recycling processes and standards. We intend to have all of our North American sites certified to the R2 standard by the end of the second quarter".
