OMAHA, NE, March 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) A frequent visitor of National Parks and protector of tigers worldwide, Vinod (Vin) Gupta has been instrumental in the conservation of animals, particularly endangered species like the tiger. He contributes to their survival at Ranthambhore by not only showing solidarity, but also by providing equipment, provisions, and vehicles in coordination with the government's "Project Tiger."
With the generous support of Mr. Gupta through his World Education Foundation, an anicut was constructed to help regulate the flow of irrigation and make the land more suitable for the tigers to reside in. Gupta also funded the repairs for the Jogimahal Tourist Facility Gate and made needed improvements to a couple of inspection huts.
Computer equipment, printers and cameras were also donated by Gupta. "These items are critical for keeping the tiger reserve armed with the latest technology and making the reserve more efficient," said Gupta.
Ranthambhore National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned national parks in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambhore National Park terrain is a major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers to this destination.
The park is most famous for its tigers and is one of the best locations in India to see the majestic predators in their natural habitat. The tigers can be easily spotted even during the day time, busy at their ordinary quest - hunting and taking proper care of their young ones. Ranthambhore is also counted as a famous heritage site because of the pictorial ruins that dot the wildlife park.
