LONDON, ENGLAND, April 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) June 2011 will see the release of a new series of self study IELTS books from HarperCollins. Each of the four books targets one of the four IELTS papers, listening, reading, writing and speaking, and provides a variety of exercises and exam practice designed specifically to improve students' scores. The great thing about the series is that students can target their weak areas in the test because each book focuses on one skill.
The Collins Listening for IELTS book of the series has been written by Fiona Aish and Jo Tomlinson from Target English. The book is topic based and contains 12 units. Each unit includes vocabulary development as well as exercises which concentrate on the specific question types and the techniques needed to answer them correctly. An added bonus is that each unit has a test practice section at the end and there is a full practice test in unit 12.
It can be difficult to find good listening material for IELTS as most material comes in a textbook which is designed to be used in a classroom rather than for self study, so students of English should be pleased to find Collins Listening for IELTS in book stores this summer. However, it's not just for self study as teachers will find it an invaluable resource for both one to one and group classes.
New IELTS Listening Book from Fiona Aish and Jo Tomlinson of Target English
The new Listening for IELTS self study book written by Target English will be released in June 2011.

Scotty McCreery's Blue Crew to Appear at Garner Expo
2011-04-03
Before he was an "American Idol" hopeful, Scotty McCreery was a typical Garner teen who loved baseball, music and hanging out with his "Blue Crew" buddies while rooting for the Garner Trojans.
Although Scotty's star is rising in the music field, he hasn't forgotten the Blue Crew and they certainly haven't forgotten him. Earlier this season, he gave a shout out to them on "American Idol" and the Crew - which includes James Booth, Kyle Wiggins, Kyle Tobin and Colin Perry - subsequently flew out to Hollywood and cheered on Scotty from the audience.
Proud of the exposure ...

2011-04-03
The Seattle, Washington band Edison Orange named their band as such in honor of Thomas Edison, the inventor of the phonograph and basically responsible on how we record music today. Mr. Edison also had a penchant for crafted noise pop.
And that's what Edison Orange is all about: a group of eclectic, collaborative individuals who love to create noise pop that they prolifetate through the streets of post-grunge-identity-crisis Seattle. Edison Orange caters to the 'hipstnerds' (like themselves) who loves melding guitars, organs, megaphones, and tambourines! The band is: ...

- Sun reduces this excess water on the land, but ...
