Members from Sri Lanka and India, who make up the 82nd District will be attending the event which is an opportunity to network and hear from the leading members from the region.
Winners of the contest will qualify for the Toastmasters international convention which features the best speakers from around the world. Around 350 members are set to join the meeting from each country and this will include some overseas members who will be flying in especially to talk and lead some of the education sessions.
The sessions will give practical advice on how to present, how to remove any fears people may have of talking in front of others and tips for keeping an audience's attention. The conference will last for four days between 12th and 15th May 2011 and with the high number of members heading to attend, cheap Mysore hotels are set to be overrun with guests.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, commented: "Toastmasters is for all types of people from business professionals to people that just want to talk more confidently in public. The conference sees a high attendance and especially as so many individuals will be needing overnight accommodation, hotel availability is sure to be reduced."
