LOS ANGELES, CA, April 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bay Area-bred rapper, Philos, has nothing but women on his mind with the release of his solo debut, "Women On My Mind". The mixtape, hosted by Da' Hitman in conjunction with Morris Corp Ent features lyrical content from hip hop heavyweights and newcomers alike including Paul Wall, Lil' B and Yung LA to name a few. With a unique style, character and take on the opposite sex, Philos is amongst the new leaders of hip hop.

There's a new breed of MCs emerging in hip hop in the twenty first century. Artists such as Odd Future, Drake and Brooklyn's Barbie, Nicki Minaj have found themselves on the brink of genius in an industry that was once quoted as being "dead". Philos enters the new school with artists such as Travis Barker, Paul Wall and Lil' B solidifying his rightful place among these newcomers.

"I feel privileged to have these polished artists on my mixtape," states Philos. "They blend well with my style and give a good compliment to my music. This mixtape reflects one of the many different parts of me and takes the listeners on some of my journeys. I believe that I have an out of the box sound. This project has definitely given me an extra push to continue to step outside of the box and share the way I see the world around me through my music."

Standing at 6'4", Philos already stands out amongst the crowd. With industry artists behind him on his first solo endeavor, the future stands as tall. Currently, Philos' music can be heard on 106 KMEL in San Francisco and KSFM 102.5 in Sacramento respectively and the artist is poised to be one of the new faces for Barker's "Famous Stars & Straps."
