The Chef's Academy Names Regional President

RALEIGH, NC, September 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 107-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers more than 30 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced Jayson M. Boyers as the regional president. Boyers will manage both the Indianapolis and Triangle campuses.

As regional president, Boyers will oversee a program that helps students become prepared and marketable graduates entering the fields of culinary arts, pastry arts, and hospitality and restaurant management through classroom and experiential instruction that sets up expectations for the real-life industry. Under his direction, The Chef's Academy will provide an environment that fosters students' passion for culinary arts and hospitality and a curriculum developed by the most qualified instructors and leaders in the market.

Prior to The Chef's Academy, Boyers held positions at American United Life Insurance Company in Indianapolis, where he was a disbursement specialist; Today's Temporary in Indianapolis, where he served as project coordinator for HNTB Engineering on DOT-funded projects; and Church of Christ/UMC, where he served as youth minister and education director. Jayson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Indianapolis with a Liberal Arts major and emphasis in business, religion and psychology, and he has a Master's in leadership development from Saint Mary of the Woods College.
