TAMPA, FL, May 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) DIG Coaching Practice presents Attention Talk Radio with host Jeff Copper, attention coach, and Dr. Terry Dickson who shares his personal insights around the paradigm shift to becoming an ADHD coach. Dr. Dickson, also having ADHD himself, diagnoses and treats ADHD and is learning to be an ADHD coach, a process that required him to change his fix-and-treat mentality. In making that shift, Dr. Dickson realized that ADDers have a natural creativity and resourcefulness to find their own solutions, and he helps them develop strategic actions for making powerful choices.

Dr. Terry Dickson is the founder and director of the Behavioral Medicine Clinic of NW Michigan that has served and supported children, adolescents, and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for the last ten years. The Behavioral Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive education and supportive materials, as well as medical treatment, to families and individuals. he has dedicated his life's work to helping and serving individuals with ADHD.

Dr. Dickson has been a principal study investigator for several clinical ADHD medication trials. He has published a number of articles on ADHD and has contributed to book chapters. His heartfelt passion for folks with ADHD led him to coaching, as he believes it fills a need that medication cannot fill. He received coach training at ADD Coach Academy and Coaches Training Institute. He is a member of the ADHD Coaches Organization. He speaks regularly on the subject of ADHD and has been interviewed on radio and TV (CNN News), as well as the CHADD "Ask an Expert" online. He has been a speaker at the International CHADD Conference, the ADDA National Conference, the Michigan State CHADD Conference (Michael Golds), and was selected as one of the top twenty experts in the field for the first Virtual ADHD Conference. He served on the board of directors of ADDA and was co-chairman of the Professional Advisory Board and the National ADDA Conference Chairman.

Dr. Dickson and his wife have two children and reside in Traverse City, Michigan. He was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and both of their children have ADHD.
