EMP Offers Emergency Nurses Excellent Opportunities in 2011

Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP) is proud to offer multiple opportunities for advanced education to nurses who specialize or work in Emergency Rooms across the country.

CANTON, OH, May 22, 2011

Advanced Emergency Nursing 2011 is being offered again this year on April 18-19, 2011, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Advanced Emergency Nursing Course has been developed to address the educational needs of emergency nurse administrative and clinical leaders, as well as staff nurses seeking professional development and enhancement of their clinical skills. Current, cutting-edge topics will be covered that impact emergency nurses on a daily basis. Real-world solutions will be provided by national nursing and physician leaders. Attending this ED nurse continuing education course will prepare nurses for the challenges being currently faced in Emergency Nursing.

For information or to register, please go to the Center for Emergency Medicine Education (CEME) website at: http://www.ceme.org.

Emergency Medicine Physicians Directors' Meeting with our ED Nurse Managers has become an annual event, this year taking place on May 25-26, 2011, in Charlotte, North Carolina. This meeting brings together EMP Directors from each of our 60 hospitals across the nation, as well as assistant directors, other leadership, staff physicians, and the EMP Scholars class. The meeting gives our nursing professional partners an opportunity to meet all of our leadership, to interact and share their ideas, and to collaborate with other nursing colleagues across the US to help make our Emergency Departments operate more efficiently. EMP partner-hospital nurses may contact the ED Medical Director for more information.

EMP is a values-based group that is focused on finding physicians who put patients first and will partner with a hospital to bring exceptional care to the community. EMP has helped many hospitals improve quality and service in their emergency department while becoming more profitable.
