MEMPHIS, TN September 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) The physicians and staff members of Memphis Obstetrics and Gynecological Association, PC (MOGA) have announced the addition of Dr. Aimee Robinson to their medical staff.
According to Dr. George Wortham, President of MOGA: "We are truly honored to have located such a charming and knowledgeable young physician to be included in our practice. Dr. Robinson has performed extremely well in her training through the University of Tennessee, and we are sure that our patients will enjoy her company and feel confident in her care."
Dr. Robinson is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She went on to obtain her medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and has recently completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology through the University of Tennessee. During her internship and residency, she performed a high level of acuity in the areas of hysterectomies and cesarean deliveries. Her professional interests include ultrasonography, ectopic pregnancies, and the ongoing research of tumor markers for ovarian masses.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Robinson moved to Louisiana at the age of eight. She spent time living in Baton Rouge and small towns in its vicinity. Outside of her practice, she enjoys running, biking, playing the piano, and spending time with her fiance, Derek, and their dog, Bob. During her time in college, she ran the Houston Marathon as well as several cross-country events. She also ran the Nashville half-marathon in 2009.
"My goal is to live up to the reputation of the MOGA physicians who have gone before me," says Dr. Robinson. "By joining MOGA in DeSoto County, and utilizing my training through the University of Tennessee, I have a unique opportunity to continue a strong legacy. Over the past few years, I have fallen in love with the Memphis area, and it just feels like home! I'm very excited to be launching my practice here."
