Pinnacle KBB Weighs in on Winter Bedroom Design Trends in The Run up to The Christmas Season

Bedroom design has a tendency to reflect the season's fashion and so with the onset of winter, and with Christmas fast approaching, more and more people are looking to outfit their bedrooms in styles that reflect the invading cold weather

2011-11-23
LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND, November 23, 2011 (Press-News.org) It is often said that bedroom design has a tendency to reflect the season's fashion and so with the onset of winter, and with Christmas fast approaching, more and more people are looking to outfit their bedrooms in styles that reflect the invading cold weather and the tendency to stay at home as the nights grow longer.

Pinnacle KBB's Managing Director Stuart Heyes states:

"In the run up to the holiday season, we receive more and more enquiries from customers looking to remodel and redesign their bedrooms in time for Christmas. We often get asked by these same people on how to dress up their newly fitted bedroom to reflect the season. Naturally, once the bedroom is fitted, it can't readily be changed but there is a lot that can be done with soft furnishings and accessories"

One of the easiest ways to dress up a custom bedroom for winter is to invest in new soft furnishings. Rather than showing off the bed frame, you can opt for a flowing valance that is longer than the height of the bed, to give it a flowing feel that blends it in with the floor. This, when paired with fluffy down duvets, and throws of faux fur, can really create a feel of inviting warmth.

"What's great about soft furnishings in the bedroom is that you can practically reinvent a room after a single shopping trip. New bed linen and the addition of some colour matched accessories can really bring out a new feel in a space. So in winter, we often see the addition of white lamps, combined with accessories in icy blue and grey hues such as photo frames and ornamental pieces; for those that have an en-suite, they can go the extra mile with icy coloured soap dishes and sink additions as well as buying towels and mat sets in cold colours, which works incredibly well with dark en-suite installations, as the colours complement one another really well" adds Mr Heyes

Where some customers look to bring the essence of the cold into the room with their style choices, others opt to re-buff the warmth in their bedrooms by going for deep, rich shades such as purple and burgundy. These colours are often then imbued in velvety throws and pillow soft covers to create a feel of rich comfort. These can then be complimented with candles and other accessories that help to emphasise the warmth in a room.

"When we design our bespoke bedrooms we take all this into account, a fitted bedroom will last for many years and it needs to be flexible to reflect the changes in customer taste. That is why we take the time to sit down with our customers when we design a room to appreciate and understand their needs and tastes, so as part of our free planning consultation we often make a home visit to get a feel for the space we're working with before the design process begins on our Preston Fitted Bedrooms. This ensures that whatever it is we create, it brings all of these elements together" says Mr Heyes

As the nights grow longer and the Christmas shopping rush comes to a peak, more and more people will be looking to outfit their fitted bedrooms and homes to reflect the season.

"Here at Pinnacle KBB we welcome any enquiries from those looking to refresh their homes with a new look this winter, so if you visit our Preston bedroom showroom, we will be more than happy to show you around and detail the options available to you" adds Mr Heyes

Pinnacle KBB has been operating locally in Preston for years. They plan, deliver and fit kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms across both Preston and Chorley, retaining an eye for quality. Offering bespoke, designer fittings has seen Pinnacle KBB build a reputation for their attention to detail and their friendly service staff.
