LONDON, ENGLAND, September 24, 2010

Aconex, the world's most-used online collaboration platform for construction and engineering projects, has been shortlisted in four categories at the 2010 Construction Computing Awards, held in London on October 25th.

In a year which has seen the company continue its global expansion and release a number of new products, Aconex is in the running for Company of the Year, Product of the Year, Document & Content Management Product of the Year and E-Commerce Product of the Year.

Over the past 12 months, Aconex has invested heavily in product development, enhancing its core platform and expanding its product offering. New product launches include Supplier Documents, which provides a solution to managing vendor or supplier deliverables, and a new Tender & Bid Management module, which significantly streamlines the bid and tender management process on construction, infrastructure and energy projects. Earlier this month, the company unveiled a new user interface, making the platform even easier to use and making it faster to complete tasks. Also, new APIs now allow integration with other project tools and IT applications, helping clients get maximum value form their technology investments.

Aconex has continued its strong international growth in 2010, being selected for high profile developments such as the US$3.2 billion Panama Canal Expansion, one of the world's great engineering projects, and the US$8 billion Strait of Messina Bridge, one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects.

Yuval Attias, Regional Manager Europe, said, "Our aim is to help our clients to successfully deliver their projects by streamlining document management and formal communication. By making our system both intuitive and feature-rich, our clients capture more data and see high adoption rates across the project team. This, more than anything, improves cross-company collaboration, supporting on-time, on-budget delivery."

From its 37 offices, Aconex services US$220 billion worth of construction, infrastructure, energy and resources projects in 70 countries. More than 160,000 industry professionals use the Aconex platform to access, distribute, track and archive their project information. UK-based projects using the system include Hackney and Luton Council's Building Schools for the Future programmes, the renovation of London's The Savoy hotel and the construction of IKEA's flagship store in Wembley.
