HAUPPAUGE, NY, February 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Energy consumption, reduction and alternatives are hot topics among local Long Island business leaders who own, operate and rent properties, including building owners, managers and tenants. But the topics are important as well to local entrepreneurs, managers, energy solution providers and consultants, construction industry professionals and those in related fields. HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, along with corporate sponsor Stony Brook University, will host an industry-expert panel to provide a Long Island Energy Update at its monthly executive breakfast, Tuesday, March 6 from 8:00 Am - 10:00 AM at the National Grid Training Center, 25 Hub Drive, Melville, NY. At the HIA-LI Long Island Energy update, attendees will learn about cost-efficient and energy-saving programs and services, energy initiatives impacting their bottom line and the way they conduct business, energy incentives, energy efficient buildings and LEED certification, as well as the vision and focus of LIPA Moving forward. Opening remarks will be made by Mike Hervey, chief operating officer of LIPA. The panel will be moderated by David Winchester, CEO of Clean Tech Rocks. Featured panelists include Anthony Coppola, managing partner, MC Alliance Energy Group; Rudy Holesek, president, Apollo HVAC Corp. & chairman of USGBC-LI; and Jim Stapleton, manager of Energy Efficiency of National Grid.
