NEW YORK, NY, April 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) On Wednesday, April 4th, NVTV continues its' "Small Business of the Week" series on nvmagazine.com with Egami Consulting Group, a woman-led, multicultural marketing firm that connects corporate brands with diverse audiences.
The "Small Business of the Week" web series is designed to inspire young, urban professionals through a real life account of entrepreneurs who have achieved success by owning their talents and following their dreams.
In this episode of "Small Business of the Week," Egami CEO, Teneisha Jackson, tells NV why she left her job at IBM to start her own business. Jackson also discusses the value of being mentored by Russell Simmons as she began Egami Consulting Group whose clientele now includes Rush Communications, Heineken and Verizon Wireless. In 2011, Egami produced a Small Business Empowerment Series for Verizon, which will continue this year.
During the interview with NVTV, Jackson talks about what it's like working side by side with her husband, who is also COO of Egami Consulting Group. According to Jackson, working with your spouse can be very fulfilling yet it can also become a challenge. "It's hard to draw the line between work and our courting/dating time."
