SEATTLE, WA, April 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) Daniel Hoyos, The Student Film Block's Director has worked tirelessly to secure the cream of the crop. 16mm film, high production value, and a large quantity of female helmed films, these are the rarities that set this fest apart from so many others. A cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the "Best of the Block" in order to support the filmmaker in funding his/or her next project. The finalists for the award include A STRANGE DAY IN JULY by Shantal Reich, MOTHER, and GOOD TASTE by Greg Hanson.
The screening will take place in the Seattle University District at the historic Varsity Theater May 10th from 7-11pm. Seating is limited and going fast. Reserve your tickets at STIFF's Everbrite page: (http://stiffstudentfilms-eorg.eventbrite.com/)
