NEEDHAM, MA, July 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) of Massachusetts recently presented $1,000 David M. Kinzer Scholarships to three student board representatives: Anthony Marchi of Foxboro, Emily Seidmon of South Boston, and John Bry of Seattle. The scholarship awards symbolize the enduring leadership and legacy of David M. Kinzer, who served as president of the Massachusetts Hospital Association from 1973 to 1985.
A resident of Foxboro, Marchi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Curry College in Milton, Mass. in 1999, and he earned a Certificate in Healthcare Management from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in 2008. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Healthcare Management at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2012. He is district director, sales development for Kindred Healthcare's Southern New England District.
A longtime Brookline resident who recently moved to Seattle, Bry earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration from Boston University in May 2012. He received a Master of Public Health (with a dual concentration in Health Policy & Management and Health Law) from Boston University in 2008, and he received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California at San Diego in 2006.
A resident of South Boston, Seideon earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Lafayette College in Eaton, Pa. in 2007. She is currently pursuing a Master of Health Administration at Suffolk University in Boston, while working as an information systems electronic medical records coordinator at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Seidon said her participation in ACHE has been valuable in progressively developing her career in healthcare. "The scholarship is meaningful to me because it symbolizes that ACHE really does care about the future of healthcare and helping its student liaisons grow into professionals," she said.
