Kidville Carlsbad gears up for Kidville University with upcoming open houses

The August 1st open house will inform parents about the fall Kidville University curriculum and components

2012-07-19
SAN DIEGO, CA, July 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) This summer, Kidville Carlsbad is inviting parents and their toddlers to its Carlsbad location to explore and learn about its upcoming Kidville University Program (KVU), a gradual separation class for kids between 2 to 3.5 years old, which guides toddlers through social skills within a playful setting as they transition to school.

From 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1st, Kidville, located in in the La Costa area of Carlsbad, (6955 El Camino Real, Suite 101) will give prospective members the opportunity to learn about the KVU program, tour the facility, and meet the Early Child Development Team.

"The class offers a curriculum that stimulates the toddlers' natural curiosity as they explore new ideas," said Rup Malhotra, owner of Kidville Carlsbad. "Play centers such as blocks, dramatic play, a book corner, sensory and art, and small and big-muscle play encourage young children to touch, try, and think creatively."

Activities in this class include: group welcome, circle songs and music, storytelling, large and small group activities, art and sensory play, as well as science and math exploration.

KVU meets for three hours per day, twice a week (with an optional third day), and each class includes 30 minutes of gym time.

"Focusing on the relationships between physical, social/emotional, language, cognitive, and artistic development, the KVU philosophy and approach teaches children appropriate social skills needed for school and life," said Malhotra. "A small teacher-child ratio ensures individualized attention and a helping hand for each child as he or she makes the first transitions to separation and builds trusting relationships with his or her teachers."
