Backlog in Illinois Foreclosures
Amidst the 2010 and 2011 allegations of improprieties in foreclosures affecting thousands of homeowners, the nation's five largest mortgage lenders put a temporary moratorium on foreclosure activity while they investigated their foreclosureprocesses.
