QUOTES:
"We hope that members of the community will find the Solutions Forum both informative and beneficial for future transportation planning," said Rick McNeel, president of LORD Corporation and RTA Regional Transit chair. "With an open discussion and the identification of potential locations for high-performance roundabouts, we can improve delay, congestion and safety at intersections across the region, and make the Triangle a better place to live and work for years to come."

Joe Milazzo II, PE, RTA executive director, noted, "The event is particularly timely in light of the recent modification to Raleigh's Hillsborough/Pullen roundabout to address site-specific challenges there. While not the solution everywhere, both dual- and single-lane high-performance roundabouts have strong potential for various intersections in our region and they are an important option in our congestion-relief toolbox."

ABOUT THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION ALLIANCE:

More than 100 members and 23 member chambers work in concert through the RTA. The RTA also coordinates the efforts of the I-40 Regional Partnership, a cooperative initiative of area transportation partners that works to improve mobility along the I-40 corridor in the Research Triangle region. The RTA is a regional program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. For more information, visit http://www.letsgetmoving.org/ or call (919) 664-7062.
