CHICAGO, IL, September 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago's oldest and largest private animal welfare organization—building a community of caring by helping pets and educating people—helps raise funds and awareness by hosting its 12th annual It's Raining Cats & Dogs! benefit on Friday, October 26 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
It's Raining Cats & Dogs! is The Anti-Cruelty Society's largest annual fundraiser sponsored by Chopper Trading, Hill's Science Diet, CS Magazine, and Dr. Shelly and Paulette Rubin. The event, led by NBC5 morning news anchor, Stefan Holt, features staggering delectable chef tastings, complimentary bars, dancing to the music of The Flat Cats, an old time photo booth, and of course, adoptable cats and dogs serving as the host committee.
"The Hill's Food, Shelter & Love (TM) program supports nearly 1,000 shelters in the U.S. everyday. And we are very proud to support The Anti-Cruelty Society and the great work they do to help pets and enhance animal welfare," said Arnaud Brel, Hill's Senior Product Manager, Shelter & Professional Endorsement .
Attendees will enjoy mouth-watering dishes from celebrity chefs including Karyn Calabrese of Karyn's Cooked & Karyn's Fresh Corner, Troy Graves of Red Door, John Coletta of Quartino, and Ryan Pitts of RL Restaurant. Additionally, guests will enjoy a wine pull, a $5,000 cash raffle, and a live and silent auction that includes a safari trip to South Africa. This year, proceeds generated from the reverse auction will go towards the purchase of medical equipment in the organization's new clinic that is under construction.
Individual tickets are $175 in advance or $200 at the door, $700 for a table of four and $1,400 for a table of eight. A corporate table sponsor is available for a cost of $2,500 which includes a table of 8, plus their logo on the table and in the program.
