LUTZ, FL, September 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) Current's Ohio chapter is set to host a Laundry Love Project on Saturday, Sept.15, in Canton. Volunteers will provide assistance by spending time washing and drying the clothes and linens of deserving community members. The project will be held between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Professional Coin Laundry located at 1816 9th St. SW Canton, OH 44706.
This is the fifth Laundry Love Project held this summer in Canton. "Laundry Love Projects are designed to be a simple act of kindness," said Corey Easterday, Director of Current's Ohio branch. "We are grateful for the opportunity to provide this necessity to residents and invite all those interested in volunteering to join us. During our summer project last month we were able to assist more than 35 families in washing 350 loads of clothing."
Current of Ohio is an extension of Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. which is a nonprofit that assists low-income families with meeting a basic need - washing clothes and linens. Over the past three years, Current of Tampa Bay, Inc sponsors Laundry Love Projects nearly every month in Tampa, Fla. and other areas throughout the state.
LoveCanton, a church plant with a strong focus on living a lifestyle as disciples of Jesus Christ in Canton, is a vital partner to the Laundry Love Projects in Canton.
