Clearwater Podiatrist Announces the Addition of New Podiatric Procedures

To remain up-to-date with podiatric advancements, Dr. Fred Kussel, podiatrist in Clearwater, FL, is excited to offer two new procedures for his patients.

2012-09-22
CLEARWATER, FL, September 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) In order to provide his patients with the best in foot and ankle health care, Dr. Fred Kussel, Clearwater podiatrist, is pleased to announce the addition of two new procedures-a 3D x-ray system and the CoolTouch VARIA Breeze 1064 laser. Each procedure offers Dr. Kussel the ability to properly diagnose and treat his patients' various foot and ankle ailments.

By purchasing the new CoolTouch VARIA Breeze 1064 laser for treatment of toenail fungus, the new technology offers an effective treatment plan for Dr. Kussel to offer his patients. The new toenail laser treatment in Clearwater delivers safe, easy and effective treatment for the removal of toenail fungus, and is safe for all skin types.

"It truly is inspiring to have such an innovative treatment in my office. I am excited to continue to use this laser in the treatment of my patients' toenail fungus because no one should ever have to put up with this unsatisfying condition. I look forward to seeing and treating many of my patients with this new procedure," said Dr. Fred Kussel, podiatrist in Clearwater, FL.

The laser hand piece is placed directly onto the skin or nail, with a few continuous bursts of laser light emitted to each nail area. This Clearwater toenail laser treatment is unique in that it has a built in temperature sensor to precisely determine the skin temperature during the procedure to optimize the laser treatment. Three treatments are necessary and are usually performed at an interval of 2 to 6 weeks apart. Patients may resume normal activities immediately following the procedure.

Additionally, Dr. Kussel is excited to offer a 3D x-ray system to aide in the diagnosis of various foot and ankle conditions. The 3D x-ray system allows Dr. Kussel to easily view the foot or ankle on a computer rather than through prints. With the 3D x-ray system, diagnosis is made easier and allows Dr. Kussel to successfully diagnose and treat an array of conditions, including bunions in Clearwater.

2012-09-22
On September 26, 2012, Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes will officially launch a new fragrance, Sonnet XVII, inspired by the words of the Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda (1904-1973). I love you as the plant that never blooms, but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers. Thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body. I ...

Where Should Tax Dollars Be Spent: On Prisons or Education?

2012-09-22
There is an oft-repeated refrain that budgets are moral documents, reflecting the values of the people who created them. What does it say, then, that the United States continues to spend more and more money locking up its citizens, while at the same time cutting funding for higher education? In 1980, approximately 220 of every 100,000 people in the United States were incarcerated. Now, the U.S. incarceration rate is a staggering 743 per 100,000 residents. Approximately one-quarter of these inmates are imprisoned on non-violent drug charges. During the same time period, ...

At the Governor's signing of the bill, the prosecutor noted without those cases, "[W]e would not be here this afternoon." Victim's Response The law is designed to address the problem ...
