HUDSON, OH, November 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Sampler, Hudson's locally owned showcase for artisans, crafters, jewelers and antique and collectible dealers celebrates a sucessful first year. "We've been blessed by talented vendors and loyal customers," said co-owner Sally Scott. "Even in a challenging economy people value unique handcrafted gifts and are committed to supporting local busisnesses."
Vendors like Grandma's Doll Clothes, BOKO Botanicals, and Pepperhill Designs have been with The Sampler since it opened its doors and have experienced steady growth. BOKO Botanicals, who sells its handcrafted goat's milk soap at the Hudson Farmers Marker, finds value in having a year round retail presence. "Many of my customers want to buy my products after the market ends." commented Jackie Boesinger, owner of BOKO Botanicals. "The Sampler gives my business a retail location where I can refer customers. Plus I get to be in the company of other creative businesses." Grandma's Doll Clothes has seen an uptick in sales in part to customers realizing they can find beautifully made doll clothes for Barbie & American Girl at affordable prices. Pepperhill Designs features an eclectic mix of baby gifts and continues to be a favorite for seasonal home decor.

The Sampler is located at 5850 Darrow Road in Hudson, Ohio. It features 50+ vendors and showcases a multitude of creative styles and unique merchandise. Store hours are 10-6 Monday through Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday.
