The Alzheimer's Walk is such an amazing turnout that grows exponentially each year," said Kate Allado, COO of SeniorCareHomes.com. "Alzheimer's is such an impacting disease, and we're hopeful that one day we can find a cure for this disease to help save a lifetime of memories."
As part of the festivities in the "Surf City," attendees of the Walk To End Alzheimer's strolled, jogged and wheeled their way along the famous boardwalk in Huntington Beach. All participants enjoyed the variety of activities including face painting and a live band performance.
Walk To End Alzheimer's had over 3,000 supporters in attendance, higher than the previous year, and have raised about $170,000 for Alzheimer's research and awareness programs. Donations are being accepted until November 30, 2012.
