Ted Stalcup Announces 5 Years of Criminal Defense Experiences

Ted Stalcup completed law school at the Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada. After initially working in family law and clerkships, Ted Stalcup decided to return to California to begin a successful career in Criminal Defense law.

SAN JOSE, CA, December 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) Moving to Las Vegas from the San Francisco Bay Area was a necessary step in Ted Stalcup's journey to become a successful attorney. He started law school at the Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2004.

While in school, he began his practical work in the field of family law. In addition to this work, he also interned at the Las Vegas Public Defender's office. There, he mostly worked with juvenile sex offenders. Both experiences were very important in forming in Ted Stalcup's desire to work in criminal law.

After graduating cum laude from the Boyd School of Law, Ted Stalcup was hired as a legal clerk for the Hon. Peggy Hora (ret.). Soon after that experience, he served as a law clerk to Hon. Nancy Saitta at the Nevada Supreme Court. This prestigious position laid the foundation for his successful career as a defense attorney.

In 2007, Ted Stalcup left Las Vegas for the Bay Area. He took the California Bar Exam and passed. Later, he began working as a defense attorney in the area. He has overcome numerous challenges in his five years as a defense attorney. He has worked on cases before the Sixth District Court of Appeal, the Federal Bench, and the State Bar Court.

Some of his prominent cases are also successes for Ted Stalcup. He won appellate reversal in People v. Anguiano and People v. Kase. He won trial acquittal in People v. Anguiano on remand. He also won reinstatement of appellate rights in People v. Torres.

Ted Stalcup's experiences early in his law career gave him the skills and perspective necessary to succeed as a criminal defense attorney. He currently works at Bay Area Defense Associates and hopes to continue working in a criminal defense capacity for years to come.
