David Fitzpatrick and Rhonda Clark McNairy Named to the Board of The Healing Place of Wake County

Two new board members added to The Healing Place of Wake County Board of Directors

RALEIGH, NC, February 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Healing Place of Wake County announced today that David Fitzpatrick and Rhonda Clark McNairy have been named to the Board of Directors of The Healing Place, a non-profit emergency shelter and recovery and rehabilitation facility for homeless people addicted to alcohol and other drugs.

"The Board of Directors is extremely excited about David and Rhonda bringing their expertise and strong sense of community to The Healing Place," stated Scott Mauzy, Chairperson of the Board. I know both these individuals will have a major impact on the positive work of The Healing Place as the organization implements programs to "help people find their way back" from the effects of homelessness and addiction."

Dr. Fitzpatrick has been an Information Technology manager at IBM since 1999 and has over 20 years of experience in the business world. He is also a professional clinical counselor and rehabilitation administrator with experience in inpatient, outpatient and detox settings. David has earned a PhD at North Carolina State University and is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. David has been recognized for service with the President's Award for Volunteer Service in each of the last six years and is active in many volunteer organizations in Wake County.

Ms. Rhonda Clark McNairy has a long history of service in both the Raleigh community and North Carolina. She has been a member of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina Operations Committee and utilized her experience as a nonprofit focused CPA to assist nonprofits with organizational fiscal policies. She has served as Treasurer of the Junior League of Raleigh and Statewide Chair for the State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues of North Carolina. Rhonda is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and has a BS in Business Administration and a Masters in Accounting. She has been recognized as one of Raleigh's top business professionals, receiving a Triangle Business Journal 40 under 40 Award.

The Men's Facility opened its doors in 2001 and the Women's Facility began operation in 2006.
