Dentist in Waldorf Now Accepts Emergency Dental Visits

Dr. Gurpreet Sethi, Waldorf dentist, invites patients who experience unexpected injuries and pain to visit his office immediately.

2013-03-09
WALDORF, MD, March 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) Patients cannot always anticipate an injury to the face or mouth, or severe tooth pain. For this reason, Dr. Gurpreet Sethi, dentist in Waldorf, is pleased to offer emergency care for his patients. When an emergency occurs, patients can now call Dr. Sethi at (301) 396-3333.

"Many of us, at one time or another, confront a minor dental emergency such as a knocked out tooth, or a bitten lip or tongue. Common sense and remaining calm should get you through most of these dental emergencies. However, when experiencing any symptoms that impair your normal activities, I encourage you to visit my office for immediate emergency care," said Dr. Gurpreet Sethi, Waldorf dentist.

If patients suffer a dislodged dental crown, Dr. Sethi encourages them to call his office to make an appointment as quickly as possible. In the meantime, patients should slip the crown back in place, securing it with toothpaste or denture adhesive until they can get to Dr. Sethi's office. Patients are urged to never use glue to affix a crown, especially not any type of superglue. In the case of a lost filling, Dr. Sethi, cosmetic dentist in Waldorf, informs patients to simply place sugarless gum in the filling hole until they can get to the office for a permanent repair.

For traumatic injuries, patients should rinse their mouth with a mild salt-water solution. They should also stop any bleeding with moistened gauze or a tea bag by applying pressure to the area injured. Pain can be controlled and swelling reduced with a cold compress. For extreme bleeding that won't stop, large cuts possibly requiring stitches, or intense, unbearable pain, Dr. Sethi, Waldorf, MD dentist, urges patients to contact him and visit their local hospital emergency room.

When an emergency occurs, patients are encouraged to contact Dr. Gurpreet Sethi at (301) 396-3333. For more information on the practice and how to handle a dental emergency or other condition, patients can also visit the practice's website at http://www.dentistinwaldorf.com/.
