South Elgin Dentist Offers Clear Alternative To Metal Braces

Dr. Rick Brar, dentist in South Elgin, is happy to offer Invisalign to his patients

2013-04-03
SOUTH ELGIN, IL, April 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Brar, dentist in South Elgin, is offering his patients a clear alternative to conventional metal braces. With Invisalign, patients can straighten their smile without anyone knowing they are in treatment. Invisalign is virtually invisible, removable and more comfortable than metal wires and brackets that can irritate the inside of cheeks.

"I am glad we are able to offer this service to our patients. Invisalign is perfect for teens or adults who don"t want others to know they are straightening their teeth. Invisalign is also removable so oral hygiene is easier to maintain. Food can get stuck in metal brackets and wires and cause plaque to buildup. This can cause decay and even gum disease if left untreated. I hope our patients look into choosing Invisalign as an alternative to braces," said Dr. Brar, dentist in South Elgin, IL.

Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to straighten teeth. Patients change the aligner every two weeks or so until the teeth reach their desired position. Patients will visit the dentist every six weeks to make sure the teeth are moving as predicted. Treatment time can last anywhere between 9-15 months with about 18-30 aligners used. Invisalign is worn all the time unless patients are eating, brushing or flossing.

To make an appointment with Dr. Brar, South Elgin cosmetic dentist, patients can either call (630) 883-0200 or use the online scheduling tool. To do this, patients fill out a simple online form that asks for a preferred date and time and a short description of the nature of the appointment. A scheduling coordinator will then email or call the patient to confirm the appointment or suggest a better time.
