Marina Plastic Surgery Selected for Exclusive Tummy Tuck Study
2013-04-04
MARINA DEL REY, CA, April 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) Marina Plastic Surgery Associates (MPSA), located in Beverly Hills and Marina del Rey, CA, has been selected by Cohera Medical, lnc. as one of five plastic surgery centers in the U.S. to participate in a national clinical research trial to test an experimental product that may aid in wound closure following abdominoplasty surgery. The "tummy tuck" surgery as it is commonly called will be performed by MPSA's board certified plastic surgeons Grant Stevens, M.D. and Michelle Spring, M.D. at MPSA's fully accredited surgical center. Financial consideration will be made for qualified participants.

"Typical tummy tuck patients are frustrated that they cannot lose that last hanging flabby skin. No creams will lift lax tummy skin, no amount of crunches will tighten loose stomach muscles, and even the healthiest diet will not be able to reduce certain fat deposits along the abdominal wall. Only abdominoplasty can help address this problem area sufficiently," Dr. Stevens said.

"We are looking for specific types of patients who fit the study qualifications," Dr. Stevens added. These include:

- 18 years of age or older
- Non-smoker
- General good health
- Not pregnant or nursing
- No previous abdominoplasty
- Agree to not schedule any additional elective surgeries involving an incision to the abdomen
until your study participation is complete
- Are available for follow up evaluations for three months following surgery.

During the initial qualifying consultation, Dr. Stevens will review your medical history. Photos will be taken, and patients should bring a list of medications, vitamins and herbal supplements that they take. For more information, call 877-298-9915.

W. Grant Stevens, MD, FACS, serves as the medical director of Marina Plastic Surgery Associates in Marina del Rey, CA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons and The International College of Surgeons. Dr. Stevens is a Professor of Surgery at USC Division of Plastic Surgery and the Director of the USC- Marina del Rey Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship, on the editorial board of The Aesthetic Surgery Journal and on the board of directors of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stevens was recognized by his peers as one of America's Best Physicians in "The Guide to Top Doctors." He is past chairman of the California Medical Association Advisory Panel on Plastic Surgery. He has received the Special Congressional Certificate of Recognition and the Distinguished Service Citation from the Medical Board of California. He is an approved traveling professor for both the American and International Societies for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stevens has performed surgery on patients from all 50 states and 63 foreign countries.

(C) of Seeta Eye Centers. "After a year of clinical experience we are quite confident ...

St. Louis Cosmetic Surgery in Chesterfield, Missouri, has seen an increased demand in Missouri and Illinois for BOTOX and other minimally invasive procedures. Several of the usually top-performing surgical procedures (such as breast augmentation and liposuction) experienced a small reduction in the number of procedures performed.
