SAN DIEGO, CA, April 05, 2013
Many mental health professionals are seeking creative ways to use their skills and knowledge while maximizing their income potential. The Internet provides worldwide access to 2 billion people interested in self-help, but most online self-help materials aren't developed by behavioral or mental health professionals. They are developed by marketers who often are not apparently aware of -- or concerned with -- the science of behavior change.Dr. Marlene Maheu of the TeleMental Health Institute, Inc., said, "As mental health professionals, we are not limited to delivering direct care. We can do much more to develop and deliver self-help materials addressing a wide variety of evidence-based interventions. We also are optimally suited to tailor these products to a world full of diverse populations in multiple languages. We can do so legally, ethically and while creating a passive income stream that can continue well into our retirement years."
As an online publisher and Editor-in-Chief of SelfhelpMagazine she has evaluated thousands of self-help products for her audience of over 35 million viewers since 1994. She said, "If you look at what's available for weight management, smoking cessation, stress management, parenting and host of other topics in the behavioral realm, the Internet clearly needs the input of trained professionals who understand the difference between research-based strategies vs. empty promises or money-making schemes."
In the TeleMental Health Institute's live, interactive 6-week teleworkshop series, Dr. Maheu will help you understand the basics for creating passive income through digital product development and marketing. She will draw upon her long history of developing consumer-based materials and services for consumers at SelfhelpMagazine as well as her company's TeleMental Health Institute training site for professionals interested in learning how to deliver both direct care and self-help products online.
This Master Teleworkshop group will start April 15, 2013 and meet for 6 weeks through June 3rd. Meetings are by telephone and webcast. Master Teleworkshop meetings will be held for 1-hour, and available to you by video, mobile device and/or telephone.
