LINDEN, MI, April 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Today the Chairman of Michigan-based PryMarke, LLC signed a book contract with IGI Global of Pennsylvania to develop a book for those interested in economic and technological issues in Latin America. Bryan Christiansen said this is PryMarke's fifth contract with IGI Global to develop reference books on global business- and technology-related issues. He decided to develop the book after reviewing the experiences he acquired while doing his PhD field research in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama during 2004-06 in the Spanish language.
"As Latin America becomes increasingly intertwined with the global economy, investment continues to develop not only in a one-way direction to the region from developed world economies such as the USA or the European Union, but also in a complex pattern which involves investment by Latin American Multinational Corporations ("Multilatinas") out of and within the region itself," said Christiansen who is a former business professor at universities in Turkey and the USA.
The primary objective of the proposed publication is that of Reference material for scholars, business executives, scholar-practitioners, and university students who need to better understand the growing importance Latin America in today's global economy. The secondary objective is to provide a foundation for other similar books on the subject.
