LOS ANGELES, CA, May 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Local Miss California contestant Echoe Malone is partnering with luxury boutique Brigade to produce a charity gala benefitting the Children's Miracle Network. The event will take place on Friday, May 17th at 510 W. 7th Street Los Angeles, CA 90014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will serve as a formal sendoff as Malone prepares for the pageant that will be taking place June 25th in Fresno. Taking place in the vibrant downtown garment district, the soiree will feature decadent cocktails, appetizers, a haute couture fashion show and a special set performed by folk duo Shelby and Tieg. Confirmed guests include NBC Universal chairman Adam Fogelson, WME vice president Charles King, Miss Wyoming 2012 Holly Allen and a guest family from the Children's Hospital.
"I am very excited to be having this event and to be working with the Children's Miracle Network," says Malone, "it means the world that a guest family will be present and the community will have an opportunity to see living proof of how awesome this organization is!"
A 2012 graduate of Howard University, Echoe Malone is a former runner up of the Miss DC USA and Miss DC America pageants, and is the current titleholder of Miss City of Inglewood. She is active in the community, with projects including tutoring children in math and language arts through the SES program and working as a teacher's assistant at Sylvan Learning Center in Beverly Hills. The California native believes in promoting literacy and maintaining an active lifestyle with the youth population. Her gala will be the first of its kind thrown by a Miss California pageant competitor. Sponsors include Nakeah Cosmetics, iFlyHollywood and the Beverlywood Bakery.
Admission to the gala is free; however guests are strongly encouraged to make donations to the Children's Miracle Network. Valet is available for $8.
