Spotlight 29 Casino kicks off the month of September

PALM DESERT, CA, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) Spotlight 29 Casino kicks off the month of September starting with a car giveaway Labor Day weekend!

The last three finalists for the exciting "August Acceleration" promotion will be chosen on September 4th. One lucky winner will win the grand prize and choose either a new Camaro RS or a 4-Door Silverado! The grand prize drawing will be held at 10pm.

On September 11th the Spotlight 29 Showroom hosts El Grito, the 200th Anniversary of Mexican Independence. There will be live music, as well as food and drink specials offered. Doors open at 5pm and tickets are only $5 when purchased at Spotlight 29 Casino.

The celebration also features the "Most Beautiful Latina Pageant." 20 first-generation ladies born in a Latin country, but currently residing in the states, will be on hand to compete for the USA title. The pageant begins with each contestant being introduced in her native costume. There is also a swim suit, evening gown and question and answer portion in the competition. Live music performances will include Castillo, Jazmin and Cheyenne.

Also on September 11th, a free breakfast will be offered from 7am-11am at Cafe Capitata for all Law Enforcement, Active and Veteran Military Personnel, Fire Fighters and EMTs.

To celebrate Grandparents Day, on September 12th Cafe Capitata has a special Grand Ol' Buffet for lunch and dinner. Champagne is included with dinner.

A special Mexican Fiesta Buffet will be at Cafe Capitata on September 16th that will serve the best of traditional cuisine. Beef fajitas, enchiladas, chile verde, carnitas and more will be offered in a delicious spread.

Looking for a place to watch the NFL? Spotlight 29 has over 40 flat screen TVs throughout the casino so you can watch all the big games. Great drink and food specials will be offered in the Blue Bar for Sunday and Monday Night Football. Guests can also enjoy the newly expanded casino Bar Lounge, where more seating and TVs have also been added.

Sundays in September have even more than football to offer, with the opportunity to win a Mexican Riviera Cruise for two! Poker play will earn entries for a weekly drawing each Sunday at 4pm.

Starting September 11th players will have the chance to win $10,000 with the Barrel of Cash! Every Saturday 10 players will be drawn each hour at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.

The entire month will have something to offer casino patrons, including the final Wednesday of September that marks the start of 29 Mania. Every 29th of the month, over 2,900 Club Members will win $50 in Free Play. 290 Winners will be selected every hour from 10am to 8pm. Over $150,000 will be given away!
