Kira: Following The Heart Launches A New Line Of Note Cards With A Second Life Included

Kira-Following the heart is an Italian company providing contemporary and sophisticated note cards, posters and prints with a fresh and vivid design.

ROME, ITALY, January 30, 2011

The idea beside was to introduce people to a series of greeting cards characterized by contemporary design and special small illustrated cards conceived to recall unique and important moments in one's life or simply to share a thought, an idea or a feeling with those we love.

Kira cards are ideal for a birthday or any other special occasion. They have been created for everyone because we all experience the same feelings. The design is contemporary, characterized by harmony, balance, color and lightness.

Kira offers four lines of images: a contemporary look floral line with a touch of English style, a delicately abstract and floral line of watercolors, a line that explores color through lines, dots and structure which somehow brings to mind a classical, Swedish, IKEA-type design, and finally a line for all those who love the Japanese manga look, such as Hello Kitty or Hello Spank.

Kira cards also have another special characteristic. We all know that illustrated note cards and greeting cards usually have a short life and are used once only. In the best of all situations they may be carefully stored away in a drawer, but oftentimes they are simply filed away and forgotten until the next spring cleaning, and in the worst scenario they are kept for a short period and then thrown away. But Kira has now created illustrated note cards which have a second life. Our note cards can actually be considered real prints in miniature.

When the special day is over (but we all know that every day can be special), rather than file it or throw it away, the note card can be used again: obtaining a small frame (like those seen at IKEA) and framing it provides the print with a second life as a small furnishing for one's bedroom, studio or a small corner of the living room (especially those by Rivera and Roemberg) or in any other area that needs to be brightened up.
