SALISBURY, ENGLAND, January 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Steelhenge, one of the UK's leading providers of business continuity and crisis management consultancy, has reported that exhibiting at the BCM World Conference and Exhibition was a great success. 800 delegates and visitors attended the event in London on 3rd and 4th November 2010, representing over 30 countries and 18 sectors. In addition to having a stand in the exhibition, Dominic Cockram, Steelhenge's MD, gave a presentation on "Leadership in Crisis" on the opening day of the conference. For more information, visit http://www.steelhenge.co.uk or call 0845 094 2117.
"We exhibited at the BCM World Conference and Exhibition for the first time in 2009, and as that was so successful, we had high hopes for the 2010 event," said Isobel Nicholas, Director of Communications for Steelhenge. "I'm delighted to report that it was bigger and better, surpassing our expectations. Even though the number of attendees was undoubtedly reduced by the unfortunate tube strike on day one, we still came away from the exhibition with excellent prospects that we're following up."
When asked what stood out in particular about the event, Isobel said; "The quality of the visitors was very high. Many of them had well defined requirements and knew exactly what they wanted. Their needs covered the resilience landscape, including business continuity, crisis management, crisis communications and involved many aspects of consultancy training and exercising."
"Dominic's presentation at the conference was also very well received," Isobel added. "His presentation on Leadership in Crisis was extremely timely as there is a growing interest in the topic. Organisations are realising that they can't just expect someone to wake up and be thrust into a crisis leadership role without some preparation, particularly with the reputation of the company being such a critical outcome," Isobel explained. "In addition, James Royds, one of Steelhenge's Directors, took over as Chairman at the beginning of the conference. We're looking forward to the next BCM World Conference and Exhibition," Isobel concluded, "which will be held on the 9th and 10th November at Olympia in London."
