CHARLESTON, SC, March 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) CharleChristophe Artisan Chocolatier-Pâtissier raises the bar for Easter chocolates, challenging the attitude of acceptance Americans have come to expect with mass-produced boring chocolate bunnies. In order to set the holiday back on the right track, Christophe Artisan Chocolatier has taken the world of chocolate bunnies to a new level and introduced their Easter line of chocolate sculptures, luscious truffles, and hand-painted eggs.
With the recent launch of the Christophe Chocolatier's ecommerce site, customers around the US will be able to purchase unique hand-painted gifts such as chocolate eggs, bunny sculptures, and a variety of edible tablescape decorations. "Easter is such an important time of year," says co-owner Carly Paume. "The traditional bunny and egg confections are outdated and uninspired to say the least. Why not give the holiday the attention to detail it deserves?" Christophe is pushing the limits of artisan chocolate by giving customers a new reason to consider alternative uses for the traditionally sweet treat.
Christophe Paume is the rarest of artisans, a third-generation French chocolatier, who grew up in his father's pâtisserie in Toulouse, France. Alongside his father, he learned to create exquisite French pastry, the highest quality chocolates, succulent gelato, and every type of bread imaginable.
In May of 2009, Christophe and Carly opened their first shop in Charleston, South Carolina, followed by another shop in the heart of Charleston's King Street shopping district. Shortly thereafter the Christophe Chocolatier's ecommerce site was launched to assist in fulfilling orders around the continental United States.
All of the chocolates are handmade by Christophe using the freshest ingredients, and all of their chocolates are preservative-free and most are gluten-free, giving everyone the chance to indulge in beauty. With distinctive flavors from star anise to caramel pecan and inspired chocolate gifts from edible eggs filled with bunnies to incredible tablescape centerpieces, their premium chocolates blend rich European tradition with master artisanship.
