OVERLAND PARK, KS, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) World Healing Day grew out of the 13 year running global event known as World Tai Chi & Qigong Day. World Healing Day's goal is to expand a wave of healing intent across our planet. The motto of this event is "One World ... One Breath."
Member events have been officially proclaimed by governors of 22 US States, and by legislatures, senates, and ministries of various nations and states, including California and New York. Past years have included events held at the United Nations Building in New York and the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway.
World Healing Day events include: World Tai Chi & Qigong Day; World Yoga Day; World Healing Meditation Day; World Prayer Day; World Reiki Day; World Native Aboriginal Sacred Ceremony & Dance Day; World Music Healing Day; World Art Day; and more.
All these event hold a common vision of global healing.
WHY DO THIS?
Scientific research has demonstrated two profound realities.
1) When a small percentage of human beings harmonize their consciousness in meditative states, it positively effects the whole of society. In fact, a study by the TM Foundation in the Middle East found that when a small percentage of the population practiced meditation it reduced the violence in the region correspondingly.

2) The Global Consciousness Project, which came out of research at Princeton, found that when humanity focuses en masse it physically effects the world.
